Privacy Policy
Hi! I’m Román, the independent developer behind Pawprint (operating under my development brand rgdev). I built this app as a calm, safe and cozy place to keep our pets’ most special memories. By using Pawprint you trust me to look after those moments, and I want to be transparent about how your data is handled in this initial test version (MVP). There’s no fine print here, and no selling of information to third parties.
1. What information do I collect, and why?
Depending on how you decide to use the app, the handling of your data changes to give you the most privacy possible.
Guest mode (no account): if you use the app without signing up, I collect absolutely nothing. All of your pets’ information, your texts and your photos are stored strictly within your own phone’s local storage. If you delete the app, that data is lost because it never left your device.
Registered users (with account): if you choose to create an account to back up your data, I collect — through our secure servers (provided by Supabase) — your email address (only to identify your account, sign you in and protect your access), your diary data (your pets’ names, species, breeds and origin stories), your memories (the texts and dates of the moments you record) and the photos you choose to paste into your pages.
Although the architecture distinguishes between Basic and Premium accounts for future cosmetic features, this MVP version collects no financial or billing information whatsoever.
2. Service providers (third parties)
For Pawprint to run efficiently and securely I use some third-party tools that have their own privacy policies.
Supabase: the cloud infrastructure where your data and photos are securely stored and backed up if you choose to create an account.
App stores (Google Play Store): they handle app downloads and updates entirely externally.
3. Security of your data
I deeply value the trust you place in Pawprint. Storing data locally on your phone is the most private option. For data backed up to the cloud I use encrypted connections and Supabase’s commercial standards. That said, remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% foolproof.
4. Full control over your information
Your memories are yours and no one else’s. At any time you can go to the Settings section inside the app to sign out (which securely clears your device’s data) or completely delete your local data or your account from the servers. You can also request the deletion of your data from our data deletion page.
5. Children’s privacy
Pawprint is an app for recording pet memories and is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that a minor has provided me with personal data, please contact me so I can remove it immediately.
